April 2021:

Before you leave your home, please check your temperature, and consider if you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, including:

  • A recent onset of a new, continuous cough

  • A high temperature (typically over 37.8℃)

If these side-effects are severe or have persisted for more than seven days, please contact me immediately to cancel or reschedule your appointment and seek GP advice.

Each client attending their first appointment is asked to complete our updated Client Consultation Form, which will be sent to you by email after you make your booking.

If you are considered ‘At Risk’ with regards Covid-19, I will be in touch with you individually to risk assess you on a case by case basis ahead of your first appointment with me.

Every client will also be asked to complete a new Covid-19 Screening form ahead of EVERY appointment for the foreseeable future, which will be sent to you via email, 24 hours prior to your appointment.

All consultation and consent forms will be sent to you electronically, and upon completion will be attached to your client record and the appropriate appointment notes.

Please wear a face covering during your visit to us. From 8th August 2020 it is mandatory to wear a face covering before entering and you must keep it on until you leave. It is acceptable to remove your mask when you are lying ‘prone’ (on your tummy), but you will need to put it back on when you turn onto your side or back, or the massage is concluded. We appreciate that some individuals are exempt from wearing a mask and support this, but would appreciate you letting me know ahead of your appointment. Even if you have been vaccinated, we will still require you to wear a face mask (unless exempt).

Please bring your own water, or hot/cold  drinks are available from the YMCA cafe.

Please wear easy to remove clothes and keep jewellery to a minimum. You will be given a container in which to put your possessions and clothes when you undress. This box will be fully cleaned and sanitised between clients.

If you are a key worker, particularly a frontline member of NHS staff, please change out of your work clothes and shower before attending your appointment.

Please plan to arrive at the time of your appointment. Our waiting room is open again, but social distancing should be maintained and a maximum of 2 people can be in this space at any one time.

When you arrive, please use the hand sanitiser available at the front desk and again when you are shown into the treatment room.

Whether or not you have been vaccinated, your practitioner will be wearing the appropriate level of PPE - personal protective equipment - to work with you.

There will be at least a 15 minute gap between clients, to enable disinfection of the practice room, table, equipment, hallway and bathroom etc.
